The latest release of documents from the Jeffrey Epstein investigation includes draft emails written by the convicted sex offender containing unverified claims about Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. In a July 2013 draft email, Epstein alleged Gates sought antibiotics without his wife’s knowledge after contracting a sexually transmitted disease from “Russian girls” on Epstein’s private island, Little Saint James. Epstein also claimed he was asked to facilitate “illicit trysts” and obtain drugs for Gates. A spokesperson for Gates dismissed the allegations as “absolutely absurd and completely false.” Email Exchanges with Elon Musk The documents also reveal email correspondence between Epstein and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. In a 2012 exchange, Epstein asked Musk about helicopter seating for a visit to his island, with Musk inquiring which night would be the “wildest party.” In 2013, Musk wrote he would be in the British Virgin Islands and asked about a “good time to visit.” Epstein responded there was “always space for you.” It is not clear from the files whether the visits occurred. Background of the Document Release The emails were part of over 3 million pages of records released by the U.S. Justice Department on Friday in compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act, signed into law by President Donald Trump. The release included thousands of images and videos, heavily redacted to protect survivors’ identities. Jeffrey Epstein died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges; his associate Ghislaine Maxwell was later convicted for her role in his crimes.
