Sirens sound across northern Israel Earlier, air raid sirens were activated in Nahariya over suspected drone activity, while warnings also sounded in Safed and surrounding areas following rocket launches from Lebanon. Residents across northern Israel, including in Acre, the Haifa Bay area, and the Galilee region, have taken shelter 16 times since midnight due to repeated rocket and drone launches originating from Lebanese territory. No injuries or material damage have been reported so far. Cross-border hostilities intensify The latest exchanges come amid escalating cross-border violence between Israel and Lebanon-based Hezbollah, an Iranian ally. The drone incursion follows a pattern of intensified hostilities that have drawn Lebanon deeper into the regional conflict that began with US-Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28. Türkiye has repeatedly warned against the expansion of the conflict into Lebanon and called for restraint, emphasizing that further escalation threatens regional stability with direct consequences for Ankara’s security interests along its Mediterranean coast.
