During a telephone conversation with Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, Pezeshkian emphasized that such actions would be "unacceptable under any circumstances," according to Iranian state media reports. School strike casualties recalled Pezeshkian referenced an earlier attack in the southern Iranian city of Minab, stating "At the very beginning of this brutal war, there was an attack on a school in Minab that led to the martyrdom of 168 students." The mention of civilian casualties underscores Tehran's narrative of the conflict as an unjust war disproportionately affecting non-combatants, particularly children, and may serve to rally international sympathy for Iran's position. Oman discussions cover regional fallout The two leaders discussed regional developments amid ongoing US and Israeli attacks on Iran and their potential international repercussions.
