Counterterrorism Cooperation and Detainee Transfer The talks followed Friday's announcement by US Central Command that it had completed a 23-day mission transferring more than 5,700 ISIS members from detention facilities in northeastern Syria to Iraqi custody. Both sides exchanged views on preventing escalation and underscored the importance of resorting to dialogue and diplomatic channels to resolve conflicts. Sudani emphasized the need for fundamental solutions to deep-rooted problems and stressed preventing aggression and violations of sovereignty in the region.
