President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has conveyed his heartfelt Nowruz greetings, expressing hope that the traditional spring festival will serve as a catalyst for peace and stability amid ongoing regional conflicts. In a video message delivered for the March 21 Nowruz Commemoration Program held at Kamil Ocak Sports Hall in Gaziantep, the President described Nowruz as a harbinger of spring and a symbol of nature’s renewal. He expressed his wish that the occasion brings peace, prosperity, and well-being not only to Türkiye but to the broader region and all humanity. Erdoğan emphasized the unifying spirit of Nowruz, noting that celebrations extend across all 81 provinces of Türkiye and throughout the Turkic world. “We gather around the Nowruz fire with the same feelings,” he said, adding that the festival has become a shared day to strengthen bonds of unity. He also announced that Türkiye will host the 13th summit of the Family Council in 2026, building on this momentum of togetherness. The President extended his greetings to brother nations across the Turkic geography, including Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as well as Hungary. In a particularly poignant message, he addressed the people of Syria, Iraq, and Iran, who are currently enduring the hardships of war. “I hope that this meaningful day will contribute to ending the wars in our region,” Erdoğan stated. Erdoğan concluded his message with a vision of renewal, saying, “I wish that the spring climate brought by Nowruz brings hope to our hearts, peace to our societies, and peace to our world.” The President’s remarks reflected Türkiye’s longstanding commitment to regional stability and its role as a bridge between cultures, particularly during a time of heightened tensions across the Middle East.
