Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh on Tuesday during an official visit aimed at deepening bilateral ties. The closed-door meeting, followed by a dinner hosted by the Crown Prince at Al-Yamamah Palace, marks a significant step in ongoing efforts to strengthen political and economic cooperation between the two regional powers. High-Level Delegation and Regional Diplomacy Erdoğan was accompanied by a delegation including First Lady Emine Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek, and Defense Minister Yaşar Güler. The visit represents the first leg of a regional tour that will next take the Turkish president to Cairo on Wednesday at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. Upcoming Türkiye-Egypt Strategic Council Meeting In Cairo, Erdoğan and Sisi will co-chair the second meeting of the Türkiye-Egypt High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. The leaders are expected to discuss bilateral relations, regional developments—with a particular focus on Palestine—and international issues. Erdoğan is also scheduled to attend a Türkiye-Egypt Business Forum, underscoring the economic dimension of the diplomatic outreach.
