The US Embassy in Oman issued a shelter-in-place advisory Monday evening, directing American citizens in the Gulf nation to secure safe locations as regional tensions continue to mount. In a statement posted on social media platform X, the embassy advised US nationals “to find a secure location within your residence or another safe building” and to ensure adequate supplies of food, water, medications and other essentials. Precautionary measures detailed The advisory urged Americans to maintain communication with family and friends, keep travel documents updated and easily accessible, and monitor official news outlets for guidance. “In case of an attack, stay away from any debris, and monitor news outlets for official guidance,” the embassy stated.
